Please note:  Since Katrina, I've reduced the scope of JS's retail service, and am taking repair and custom work on a limited basis.  With apologies, no new overhaul work can be accepted at this time by mail (I am working but there are no open spots at this time).  If you have written to me with inquiries about retail items, I will get back to you ASAP if I have them in stock (I've just moved across town, and am still in the process of unpacking boxes).  Sincerest thanks to friends for your concern and help since the storm, and in particular to those who came to the rescue of my buddy Frederick Sheppard in its aftermath - special thanks especially to BKJ, PT, and KB.  Earlier this year, we lost FS when he passed on in Arizona, where he'd been since his neighborhood was wiped out.  Those close to Shep who may wish to get in contact with his longtime friends and bandmates are welcome to get in contact with me through the email link at the bottom of any webpage.  Reggie Houston has posted an affectionate tribute to Shep on his website, as well.  - Palo
